Could Tesco Extra Hatfield go solar?
At Oldings Corner in Hatfield, this standalone Tesco Extra sits within its own car park under a large roof of about 10,800 sqm. We measured roughly 4,000 panels, around 1.58 MW, which could generate an estimated 1.3–1.6 million kWh a year — in the region of 530 homes. An installer survey would confirm the usable roof.
