For installers

Claim your free listing and get found by homeowners checking their roof.

Solarable is a UK roof-check tool with an installer directory. Homeowners enter their address, see their roof on a map, get a Solarable Report, and meet installers covering their postcode. We've already listed installers across the UK — find yours and claim it to manage your details.

The problem

Homeowners deserve better than quote-broker spam.

Homeowners researching solar today either get spammed by quote-broker sites that resell their details to four different companies, or bounce around generic price-comparison pages that don't tell them anything specific about their roof.

Solarable gives them a useful first answer — is my roof Solarable? — and shows them installers covering their postcode at the moment they're paying attention. You appear on the page where the homeowner has just been told their roof might work for solar. Not in a pile of cold leads sold three times over.

What they see

An example Solarable Report.

Your Solarable Report

BS1

Solarable Score

confirmed by you, high confidence.

Your roof has two main faces

Front North-east May be difficult
38/100
Back South-west Good potential
78/100

Panels would most likely go on the back roof, which appears to face south-west.

Change roof direction

Which way does your main roof face?

Change roof type

Is your roof pitched (sloped) or flat? This helps us judge it correctly — an installer confirms the detail on a survey.

Ready for the next step?

A free roof survey confirms the things your roof knows that a map doesn't: exact shading, pitch, and panel layout. Book one with a listed installer and you have everything you need to choose a system.

Every listed installer is MCS-certified. We verify their certificate before they go live.
Advanced details

Savings assumptions

Electricity price
24–30 p / kWh
SEG export tariff
5–13 p / kWh
Daytime self-consumption
~35% (medium daytime use)
System cost
£1,150–£1,900 / kWp
System size
4.5 kWp (typical semi-detached default)

If you add a battery

Self-consumption rises by about 25% (capped at 85%). Battery typically adds £3,000–£6,000 to system cost; payback usually shifts 2–3 years.

What would change this

  • Higher daytime use → faster payback (you self-consume more solar).
  • A battery or an EV charger → more of each kWh stays in your home.
  • A larger array on a sunnier slope → more export income.

Estimates use typical UK 2026 figures. Always confirmed by a quote from a listed installer.

Every figure on this page is an estimate. A roof survey from a listed installer is the only way to confirm a real-world system.

This is what a homeowner sees after entering their address and confirming their roof direction. Listed installers covering their postcode appear directly beneath it.

Your card appears on this page if the homeowner's postcode falls inside one of your declared service-area districts.

Optional paid placement

Claiming is free. Want more?

A claimed listing is free. If you want stronger placement — above-the-fold on the directory and reports, a larger card with your logo — the founding tier below is open. Standard and Featured stay unpriced until we've validated traction in the launch region; we won't quote a number we can't honour.

Common questions

FAQs.

How much homeowner traffic will I get?

We don't know yet, and we're not going to invent a number. Solarable is launching in the South-West first; traffic will start small and grow as we publish local pages and earn search visibility. Founding installers help shape the directory while it's growing.

Do I get exclusive leads?

No. Solarable is a paid directory, not a lead broker. Multiple listed installers can cover the same service area. Homeowners contact installers directly; we do not intercept or route enquiries.

Why £149 a year?

It's the founding tier. The price is deliberately low so installers will take the risk of joining a directory that's still growing. Founding installers help us validate the model and shape the product. The price is locked for your first year.

What do you check before approving my listing?

A short manual checklist: active company, real website, real contact details, clear solar PV offering, plausible service area, not a lead broker. We list, we don't certify.
