Could Queen's Hospital Romford go solar?
Opened in 2006 on Rom Valley Way, Queen's Hospital Romford is built from big, blocky roofs — plenty of flat area to work with. We estimate it could take around 3.6 MW of solar, roughly 8,900 panels, generating an estimated 2.9 to 3.6 million kWh a year. An acute hospital draws power at all hours, so little of that would go to waste. These are theoretical, full-roof numbers.
