Could Principality Stadium go solar?

Home of Welsh rugby and set right in the heart of Cardiff, the Principality Stadium carries a fully retractable roof over its bowl. Measured across roughly 34,000 sq m, that structure could in theory host around 12,500 solar panels — a full-roof capacity near 5 MW. Our estimate puts annual generation at roughly 4.0–4.8 million kWh, comparable to about 1,600 homes.
