Once the centrepiece of London 2012 and now home to West Ham United, the London Stadium wears one of the world's largest cantilevered roofs. That sweeping ring, about 20,800 sq m of it, could in principle hold roughly 8,300 solar panels — near 3.3 MW of capacity. We estimate 2.8–3.5 million kWh a year from it, similar to about 1,160 homes.
