Could Ashton Gate Stadium go solar?
Ashton Gate is already ahead of the pack: since its 2016 redevelopment, Bristol City's West Stand roof has carried a real 460-panel, ~117 kW solar array generating around 95,000 kWh a year on site. Look at the full ~2,300 sq m of modern roofing, though, and there's room for roughly 840 panels in total — about 335 kWp and an estimated 250,000–300,000 kWh a year.
