Could Asda Hulme Superstore go solar?
Close to central Manchester, the big-box Asda on Princess Road in Hulme sits beside its own car park under a large flat roof of around 7,800 sqm. We measured roughly 3,200 panels, about 1.3 MW, for an estimated 0.9–1.1 million kWh a year — comparable to some 370 homes. An installer survey would confirm the usable area.
