Could Estadio BBVA go solar?
Framed by the Cerro de la Silla in Guadalupe, Estadio BBVA carries a steel-shell roof unchanged since C.F. Monterrey's ground opened in 2015. Across roughly 32,000 square metres, a full covering could take about 13,300 panels — near 5.3 MW — and on some 1,855 sunshine hours a year might generate an estimated 7.7–9.4 million kWh, comparable to around 3,200 homes.
